The Boulder Early Music Shop opened in April 1978. Since that time, this unique store has supplied Colorado, as well as the rest of the United States and Canada, with sheet music, recordings, books, musical gifts and instruments such as recorders, flutes, viols, harpsichords, dulcimers and harps. One of the few stores of its kind, this shop is a must when you come to downtown Boulder. All kinds of unusual instruments are on display to be seen and tried in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere that's conducive to browsing. Ruth and Robert, musicians as well as merchants, are always eager to chat or answer your questions about anything that's in the store. Prompt mail order service and catalogs are available upon request.
