With l2 years of experience in accounting, Pam Thompson knows how to help businesses. From year-round advising and financial work for small and medium sized businesses to tax work for individuals, her work is tailored to understand-and to meet-the needs of her clients.

"Nobody knows your business as well as you do," she points out. "But it's hard to wear a lot of hats, so I can help with your accounting, bookkeeping and tax needs. I work with my clients to help lower their taxes and increase their profitability. This isn't an accounting factory; I don't just run my clients through the computer. I'm an expert they can call on."

Pam has worked as a comptroller of a large bank-and of several small companies, as well. "With my experiences in these companies I know how businesses work from the smallest to the largest," she says.

For some clients, Pam does everything from preparing payroll to checkbook reconciliation, government reporting, financial statements, tax preparation and tax planning. For others, it's once-a-year tax work. To help start-up businesses, she sets up the books and prepares a budget. People already in business can count on her help to make sure they are meeting their financial goals, be it keeping expenses down, spending less time or increasing profitability.

Pam emphasizes helping all her clients understand how their taxes and accounting fit in with their goals and day-to-day operations. "Helping them with tax planning and explaining their tax return is part of my responsibility," she says, "because it can help them see what control they have. I work together with my clients to improve their business. It's a partnership."
